Trying to decide whether to instal the original Shoulder Seat Belts in my ‘70 W-30 during the restoration process. I am restoring to as stock original as possible . I have the original belts. Aesthetically I’m not crazy about the look. Definitely leaning towards installing them - guess I asked and answered my own question.

How do you feel about how they look ? Do you have them installed in your car ? (Regardless of year or model)

 

They offered factory shoulder belts from 67 and newer. Find an original set and call it good.

 

None in my convertible but my 70 Supreme had them and I actually used them.

 

I have them in my 72 Supreme and I use them. Was a little weird at first because you can't reach for anything but it didn't take long to get used to them. Aesthetically they're fine, didn't even notice them the first few times I looked at the car.

 

I have the original belts - was just trying to decide whether to re-instal them or not. But keeping with the originality and for safety reasons I think re-installing them is a very good idea.

 

Definitely reinstall them. I need to reinstall the factory belts on my 71 98.
