Seat Track Extenders

Has anyone tried the new seat track extenders, being sold by vendors, that puts the driver's bucket seat back a couple of more inches? Are they a bolt on application, or does it require welding?

just got a catalog from opgi today they got them, they say installation is made easy with properly located & pre-drilled mounting holes as well as studs for seat tracks. BILL

I bought a pair of the seat extenders and put them in. It definately puts my 6'1" frame back a couple of inches and gives me some more leg room. Just what I needed. They were a breeze to install!

Does anyone make them for a bench seat?

I made my own for my bench seat in the silver car because of a lack of mobility in my left leg. I used 1 1/2" angle iron. I made mine so that the seat goes back 2" farther than stock. I'm 6'2" and when I sit in the car I have to stretch to put my feet on the firewall by the brake pedal.

After doing this, my '72 Cutlass is the most comfortable car I have ever ridden in.

If anyone is interested in making their own I can take pictures and measurements. It took a couple of hours because you have to cut a relief for the front "foot" of the bench seat. I also wanted them to look nice so I deburred the cuts and painted them black. Total cost was about $12 for the angle iron.
