Looking for a set of Trico 44 160 wiper refills for my '72 Supreme. No luck with local parts stores or after a search on the innerweb. I don't need the whole blade, just the refills.
Any ideas/suggestions?

My local mom and pop parts store told me there were replacement wiper assemblies same as original, the blade holder were painted metal not stainless as original, but i did move the blades over to my originals, buy costly
Roger that. I thought the first time I brought up the site it said they had them, when I switched to Make My Store they now appeared Out Of Stock...weird.
The TRICO site demonstrates an array of TRICO refills for 1972 Cutlass. Oddly, they don't demonstrate your part number. They must fit - they're on your car right! Assuming you have the original motor assembly & blades.
They list the RF-16-1 (tnswt has).

72455 I purchased these RF-16-1 off eBay last year, I believe. I too had a heck of a time finding refills. They fit the '70 442's original wiper arms perfectly. Mind you, these are refills and do not have the spline back like the original factory ones. If you seek original spline blades I can give you contact information on a person that specializes in vintage blades. Be prepared to have your wallet open.
I tell you what; for your Christmas present this year I'll send a pair of RF-16-1 to you. if you want to take me up on it, then pm me your address. Meanwhile, you have some time to figure what to do when these wear out, and don't call on me.
Happy Motoring!

Happy Motoring!I have never really paid any attention to what type blade the inserts are said to fit; I just buy the correct length refills and they work in my original wiper blades (just don’t get the narrow ones - N at the end of the part number). There’s either an end clip or they are held in by the tabs on the ends of the wiper blades. If you get the wrong style, you can remove the rubber part of the inserts and install them into your existing insert “frame rails”. Done that many times on multiple vehicles.
Note the ones I linked say dual rail and secure dual latch lock, which from the image I expect one end’s latch can be removed to make it work as a single end latch as our wipers use.

Yeah, I agree. Dave wants that particular model number was my only point. Anyways, it takes me generally a couple minutes to figure out wiper refill installations. I think over the years there are what two basic types: the J channel types and some other type? I buy good refills (I think) I'm not interested necessarily in remaining with a particular manufacturer; although, I probably should because I know I've bought some refills which basically have disintegrated in less than several months. What's that all about?

I guess y’all haven’t done as many Cutlass wiper replacements as I have over the last 40 years.
