When I had my hood sand blasted it weakened the goop that separates the hood skin to frame.
The result was a huge oil can/warp when the goop didn't take up the space between them.
I put some spacers in between and it popped back to normal.

SOoooooo... I'm looking for the right goop to shoot in to dry hard and take up the space.
Any suggestions of something that dries relatively hard?

spray foam insulation,trimmable when dry,wont push up metal. regular seam sealer,or liquid nails for on the cheap. or panel bond.

Do NOT use spray foam! It can expand too much and push the metal out the other way! Get panel bond and goop it in between.

The right stuff is called anti-flutter foam. Lord Fusor makes a good version, though you need a 2 cartridge caulking gun to use it.

I’ve heard those guns are like 900 bucks!

I took my chance with the SEM seam sealer I have.
I’ll be taking the spacers out today to see it it worked.
