Royal Mist Poly paint code needed. 1962 color

We are having a hard time getting the correct match to Royal Mist Poly for 1962. Both of my cars are faded and the body guy is having a hard time matching it. He tried an actual conversion code for it he found but it come out to dark. I contacted Kolor Korect because they often have good coded for modern colors and they don't even have this one. Has anyone had success in this color in modern paint? Does anyone have a code for me to try? He can use a camera (or color scanner) but he said it often don't get it exactly right and even more so with my paint not very good.

Are you trying to match faded paint ? Or are you trying to paint it the original color ? You should be able to get the paint code from the cowl tag and search for the original manufacturer's paint code. Charlie Jones knows a good paint company. Cross reference to different paint manufacturers. Chances are that the same color was used by different GM divisions using different names but the same color formulation is the same.

I have had good luck with TCP Global .
They can mix any original color in enamel , lacquer , urethane , or BC/CC , .

We are trying to get the correct original color. When getting it mixed from crossing over from the old codes it is not really matching what we think it should look like. Looks to dark but again. I only have the paint inside the trunk to compere it to that don't look to faded. My body guy said even inside the trunk is not good to go by. I am not really sure I understand myself, I am not good at color at all. When Kolor Korrect said they didn't even have it, it got me concerned. I thought they had nearly everything available.

Just got back from the body guys house. He has a new plan of attack now. I think he will have the proper color soon. I found a good reference chip that will make it easier to match up. The original paint of my wifes car and this cars repaint are faded much worse than expected. He was correct also about the paint in the trunk being faded
