ROP new privacy policy
ROP new privacy policy
Looks like if you want to access ROP website, you have to allow them to let third parties access your computer information. This just showed up when I tried to log on, so I deleted their website info from my system. No one needs to let third parties access their private info from their computer. I was a member of ROP for at least ten years but no longer.
Those new terms will give Russel an income from ROP.
What finally put me off ROP was how many times the site was hacked. Each hack dumped all the previous threads, so you couldn't look up past discussions.
I miss the people on there but the site wasn't professionally managed (and I'm not criticizing Russel because he was funding the site out of his generosity toward the Olds community).

The site has really gone down hill. I always open it in a second or third window on my phone because I've had "buzzing pop ups" show up and I've had to close the tab to get away from it. I guess I'll just delete the site.
Tapatalk just updated their default terms to comply with GDPR, just like everyone else. Your mailbox should be full of privacy notices. Nothing new or interesting, except they might actually tell you what they do with the data they keep.
Account setup is fully automatic over there now. No verifications or whatever. The verification was just an email from Russell a few years ago - just to make sure you were a person with a real email address, but he did that himself, so....
IB (the host of this forum) just updated theirs as well to comply with GDPR. They just didn't explicitly notify you.

Has anyone THIS site's privacy policy?
