Rochester Quadrajet question
Rochester Quadrajet question
I pulled a Rochester QJ from a 1966 Starfire sitting at the junkyard the other day.
it has a code 7032720 cast in the assembly.
Does anyone know if this QJ number was only unique to Oldsmobile? Only to Starfire? Good for any other cars? I might keep it but not sure if I want to pad my wallet instead if it is worth anything.
I saw another thread on here where someone thought it was also used on the Toronado.

That's the body casting number, from which any of numerous similar carbs can be made.
Look for the ~3/4" round TAG pressed into the SIDE of the carb, LH side, above the front throttle shaft.
"7036254" or similar will be stamped into here.
Factory '66 Qjets had a link up over the LH secondary air valve, for a piston based damper for the secondary air valve. Abandoned after 1966, it was presumably a suboptimal solution.
