road racing isn't what comes to mind when thinking of Oldsmobiles. but they did okay on the ovals of NASCAR, back in the day.

 

You sure? Oldsmobile has a rich road racing backround. They were in Can-Am, and in the 80's heavily into IMSA and Trans-Am.

I thought to include that. Wasn't sure if it was more rally, offroad, or road racer. I guess it's a bit of all three.

 

One of the Smothers brothers ran a 70 W31 in the Baja 1000.I believe someone came across the car and is restoring it.

It has a turbo 350 with a turbo 350 trans that i just had rebuilt for the fifth time i love to downshift too much and the engine is bored forty over forged flat top pistons balanced crank ported and polished intake and ported stock heads hei 670 holley with the off road fuel rail um 175 spread bore nitrous kit stock 273 gears and i race anywhere there isnt people there r turns on the street
