Resto Project

The 3 guys I work with and I were heading to Rome, NY last Friday morning to an open house for our companies new facility they just built and opened, and we passed this pickup pulling a trailer with this old truck on it on I-90!
Sorry it's out of focus but maybe you can tell what it is! Looks like he'll be busy awhile!

You're right Sandy, It's an old truck.
He need to keep that thing on the road, you just pick up glass and nails over there, I can hear my grandpa saying it now.

My guess is an early 50's Chebby or GMC pick-up?

Looks like a Chevrolet or GMC. between the years of 1949 to 1954.
If I remember correctly they used the same front fender and hood

Make that 47' to early 55'. (55 had two body styles) The early ones, 47 - 53, had flat windshields, V'd in the middle. In 54 the grill changed on the Chevy and they got a curved windshield.

I think the GMC and Chevy fenders, and maybe hoods are different. I know the grills are.
