repro window sticker

repro window sticker

I wanted to get a Blank reproduction window sticker for my 72 cutlass 442 conv.I wanted to know what needs to say in the window sticker and how much options were for that year and what print needs to be done on the paper.If somebody has and original or repo one can you post it for me thanks for your time.

The type font is reasonably close but not the same so it should satisfy those who want a nice look but also the "purists" who object to perfect forgeries.

The font is as close as I could find to the original "so called" ribbon or chain printer font. The main thing thats never correct is the sheet itself. The Jim Osborn repro for the 68-72 is horrible. The rockets on each side are distorted and out of color. I fixed all that and made the changes that Olds did for each year. Not trying to make a blantant fake obviously. If I was Id tape each one to a car, rip it off, then age it so it looks like its been though hell.

I agree and no criticism intended. About 30 years ago I did get several Selectric elements and used a silk ribbon with an 8 line to the inch ratchet so I could exactly duplicate the chain train printer type font. It is laborious having to change elements for different letters, and one mistake means starting over again. I did it just for fun, not forgery.
