Just like today - peel and stick, and a real PIA to get off!
Adhesive was better, like most things from that era.

It would be nice to apply the window sticker to come of that vinyl 'cling' stuff, so you can easily put it on for show and remove for driving.
Or use the regular adhesive to make the car 'new' forever!

The original window sticker for my Rallye 350 was shellacked/varnished onto a piece of wood/plaque that hung on the owners wall. I had a repro sticker made & had it laminated & used scotch tape to attach it to the drivers quarter window. Durable & easy to remove if I need to.

I just made a copy of my original window sticker, put it in plastic laminate, and I tape it on the inside of the window at car shows. That way, the window sticker always stays in great shape and it goes on with just 4 small pieces of tape.

Thanks for the ideas. I am trying to be as original as possible and will come up with something based on your suggestions.
