In addition to all the wagons, there was also this '68 Mercury Park Lane convertible. Apparently the owner had both this and a wagon and so he brought both, and they let him park it off to the side.
The reason I bring it up is because the owner had this little placard of information that we Olds owner's would give our right arms for. He said there was some kind of service that, for a fee, provides you with this nice little framed thing with information about the car, including a reproduction of the window sticker as well as production statistics.
How many times have people come onto this site asking just these kinds of questions? How many were made that are the same color as mine? That had the same engine or transmission or even, as in this case, how many had Deluxe Seat Belts? I thought it was cool.
Nice rides, all, and thanks, Jaunty, for sharing the pictures! Would love to have been there with the Silver Bullet or CCRider, but a little far to drive for a weekend show! LOL! The more I see of your LongRoof, the more convinced I am that you got a great deal when you purchased it last year!

Thank you. It's a very nice car. It needed some putting back together, but it was well cared for, very nicely repainted back in 2005, and a great deal for the $1,500 I paid for it. The major money I've put in since then is the new carpet and front seat and partial rear seat reupholstering for a total of about another $1,000.
Glad to see that you're getting along OK since your accident with your red Cutlass. I hope you can fix it up or replace it.
Thanks for the report. There are some really cool wagons there...including yours.
I got hung up for minute on the engine bay of the 65. It looks like two belts running the alt. At first I thought one of the belts was photo shopped out of the pic. Then I realized its the chrome finish of the pully reflecting it

I never knew you had a wagon - it is quite a unique one - a standout from the usual wagons. What year is it?

Thanks. Yes, in all the years I've attended Oldsmobile car shows (not OCA Nationals, though), I've never seen a clamshell-era wagon. Vista Cruisers and Fiesta wagons, yes, but never a CC. Mine is a '73.
Hi Lonnie . I'm on the Ohio border side of Pittsburgh. The Starfire is long gone . But the W30 is currently undergoing a full restoration in FL. She too has 433s. Your comment about them being 'somewhat unpleasant ' couldn't be more true. lol. I took her down the pike once. ONCE. Never again. Nice cars you have there btw.

Somehow it would appear your post did not get posted where you intended to be...
