Repop grills and headlight housings.

Has anyone used the ones from Fusick for the 70 442?
I was leary about fitment, and thought I would check to see if
there were any obstacles or if the fit was good to go. Thanks guys.

I bought and used the headlight housings for my '68. They look great and have worked wonderfully for me. There was a bit of a fitment problem in that some of the posts on the back of the housing (where screws go into from the back side of the core support) were not long enough and I had to put in spacers to extend their length to the front of the core support to make a good fit. But they did work well.

Thanks Randy. Did you get yours from Fusick? If the 70 stuff works that well,
I may be good to go. Finding good OEM stuff is tough 45 years later, ha ha.

I've seen a couple loose sets at swap meets & I've noticed on the repro. '70 442 grills that the vertical lip that is behind both sides of the hood tooth is thicker than original. I'm not sure if or how that would affect the fit/function but it is different.

I did get mine from Fusick. As with most reviews I've seen (and you have probably experienced), I enjoy doing business with Fusick. They are always reliable. They sent me a "pie plate" for the top of my '68 4-4-2 air cleaner and it didn't get packed right so it was bent when I received it. Called them on the phone...they didn't even want the old one back...they just sent me another and it was properly packed...can't beat that. Now I'm working on my '69 and Fusick will get a lot of my business yet again!
