Recommend a site to sell a car?
Any good ideas on where to advertise my 68 442 for sale? (for a reasonable price)
Where do muscle car buyers look?
I'm not getting any bites. Need to find another place to advertise.

To get the exposure try eBay if you are willing to work with buyers out of state. I've sold 2 cars on eBay. One went to Texas and the other went to Germany. The fee to sell is minimal. And yes, Craigslist is free but with that can come some pretty strange potential buyers and headaches.
Good luck and nice car! I have a 70 W-30 also......

I have sold 4 cars on www.cars-on-line.com an awesome amount of response and always seem like real buyers inquiring.
$45 until sells

have you looked at cars in the price range you want to sell in?
you might just be asking too much for the car.
do more things to your car to make it more marketable
anything missing or not working?fix it or replace it.
sit in your car and look around inside.what looks old or wore out?
replace it.
you have a lot of competition out there, you need to set yourself apart
throw it on ebay, and see what jumps off.

I think I'm already in the ballpark. I'm the lowest price 68 with the original engine, except for project cars. Most are at dealers, priced $20k-$30k. I put it on eBay twice, 0 bids. Craigslist just gets me spam and people wanting to trade their clapped out Mustang 5.0. I don't feel that dropping the price a couple thousand is going to get more hits. CL and eBay are just tire kickers and scammers, I need to figure out where serious buyers look to buy a car.
I'll ad this to my sales pitch:
There is really nothing more to do to this car. The only thing missing/broke/wore out, is the lack of A/C. I figure that is acceptable since half of them new didn't have A/C, and I don't have the parts to fix it. To make it perfect, it would need to be repainted original, splatter paint the trunk, and the frame rolled out and detailed. But the paint, body, and frame are in very acceptable condition as-is. I have to draw the line somewhere. I just don't know what more I can do to improve it. If I were to keep it, I would change the wheels/tires, gears, and upgrade the suspension. But that is personal taste, I think I'm better off leaving it alone because what I would change, others may not like. I don't need two of these cars, and I'd rather spend money restoring the W-30 than further upgrading this one.
In the last 200 miles, it has had: New front disk brake kit, master cylinder, brake booster, shocks, upper ball joints, end links, shocks, all rubber hoses replaced, fuel tank, carburetor build, valve seats seals and porting, timing set, gaskets, engine paint, distributor, HEI, wires, plugs, stainless exhaust, carpet, seat covers, cowl seal, door seals, and numerous nickle and dime items.
For grins and giggles I'm thinking about stopping by a dealership today and see what they'd give me on trade since I'm in the market for a family car. I'll try carsonline next. Then, I think I'll just put it in storage for a few years and forget about it.

Make sure you do www.cars-on-line.com and not www.carsonline.com I am sure you noticed but I wanted to double check.
I really wish I had the extra cash, your car looks awsome!

I've always thought Miss June 2010 is a great looking 68,wish I had the room right now.
I would agree with the fact that working air conditioning is a big plus when car shopping.
Good luck with your sale.

But I'd definitely say to utilize Ebay, and Craigslist more then anything.
