I got this out of an estate..its supposed to be real, the guy was a huge Olds guy..so whats the consensus..real or repo..it has dirt in places that have been there for a long time i lightly wiped it off and had about 1/8 inch of dust it was way on top of a shelf.....the foam just crumbled...i mean dust..before i got it home the foam was all gone..i have an opinion, i just want to hear from a few with experience..it has some details i dont think repops have..like the spring tabs etc..its had a vac motor screwd to it i think, but i dont think its had a door on it..i can see a spring has been on one side but the other side shows no signs...(its supposed to be NOS...the family swore, but it was an auction..so who know...i bought it as used..at least in my mind,

 

What color was the foam ring before it went to dust? The reason I ask is all the repop foam I've seen is grey. But I've come across some old air cleaner tops with yellow foam rings. If the foam was yellow I'd think that's a clue that its an older piece and more likely factory. John
