An inexpensive aluminum radiator option for you to consider.
I bought this 4 core one (scroll down) for my 1970 442 clone.

The rows pertain to the number of tubes running the length of the radiator. Usually, the more rows you have the better cooling the radiator provides. These cars came from the factory with 3 core (3 rows) radiator. You could get an optional 4 core radiator for heavy duty cooling. If you have hot summers and a lot of traffic, I would opt for a 4 core radiator. You may have to open the supports for it to fit if they aren't big enough, but it is worth it if you're worried about overheating.
you can open up the radiator cap and look down into the radiator - you will see rows of pipes where the coolant flows. I don't know the answer but can he tell if its a 3 core or 4 core that way. Isn't there a differnt top plate for a 4-core.
Hopefully some one will chime in as you are ordering from long distance

Radiator technology, has really changed a lot over the years, with the row thing really not meaning much any more. Old units were heavy copper narrow multi row designs, with modern ones being less longer row lighter aluminum units. The units mentioned, are pretty darn cheap by todays standards. Maybe contact DeWitts in MI for more info, but stuffs not cheap. Heard some with older cars, have pretty good luck with aluminum rads from late model Ford pick up trucks.
The radiator has only one core. Sorry but this is a pet peeve of mine since I used to work for a radiator company.
It will usually have somewhere between 1 and 4 rows of cooling pipes next to each other flowing from tank to tank.
That being said a 2 row all aluminum radiator can out cool a 4 row copper brass. It also comes down to fins per inch. The more you have, the more efficient the radiator is, but the more air flow you will need to remove the hot air so the fins can to their job.

I just bought a Be Cool OE for $750 shipped! but it droped right in its aluminum and made to look like an original unit. I just didnt want to worry about over heating in the summer and the last couple of hot days we had it performed awesome.
Modifications to top plate

Welcome. You do realize this thread is from 2012. In any case, since then companies have started selling reproductions of the saddle brackets for the thicker four row radiators.
Try the Parts Place or USA Parts Supply. I got mine from the latter.
