What do you run in your Olds? Regular unleaded? Unleaded with 10% Ethanol or other? And why.
Replaced the trunk weatherstripping yesterday on the 72 Cutlass took 4 hours. If you youtube this, the gentleman pulls off the weatherstripping slowly and most of the sdhesive cpmes with it. Mine had been on quite sometime by the looks of it, the adhesive stayed on the car. Used rags, ton of goo b gone and plastic scraper and got 90% of adhesive off and some paint as well no way to avoid that, contrary to the video.

I run 91 octane premium (no ethanol) in my '72. Besides the performance being better, ethanol absorbs water and has a shorter shelf life.

I usually buy regular unleaded 10%. My stock compression engine doesn't need the added octane. I've suffered no ill effects of ethanol that I can recall in regards to fuel. We do have a station local that sells non ethanol and I occasionally buy some for lawn mowers and small equipment and fill up the Olds too.

I've found lighter fluid (ronsonol and zippo) works as well as anything for removing adhesive residue with out too much damage on a lot of surfaces.

Unleaded with 10% ethanol as that is all we have here in the Phoenix metro area. My car has run fine on it since 2005 when MTBE was phased out.

I had been running 10% ethanol 93 octane in Texas for many years with multiple 10:1+ compression engines with absolutely no issues on multiple cars. Recently moved to Oklahoma, they have 91 as the highest octane in either 10% or straight unleaded. I've run both here, engine is not fond of the 91. Old engines run just fine on 10% if tuned correctly.

WD40 may work on the adhesive, I use a saturated rag.

93 Octane with 10% because we too only have it here. I also use Lucas Octane Boost. I use to use 104+ but it would still occasionally knock. No knock with Lucas but it is $12 a bottle.

I use regular with 10% ethanol just because it's easily available. According to the owners manual 10% is the limit however we are having issues with every vehicle we have with fuel pumps so I'm seriously considering using ethanol free gas for everything.

93 Octane with ethanol. 330 CI/ 320HP. Runs fine for the last 4 years since I took ownership. No leaded near here.
