Kyle's 77 Cutlass

Hey guys, I found a 76 cutlass for sale. Has it posted as a 442 but I think it is a Calais. Has a 455 with H/O shifter. The front header has the style of my 77 but the dash is 76. I am going to look at it on Monday. How can I break down the vin to tell what it is?
