Priming 1955 Olds oil pump

Can a 1955 Olds engine be primed like a SBC with the same tool that is used with a drill motor with the distributor out?

You can use the bottom part of a old Olds distributor powered by a electric drill turning counter clock wise (opposite of Chevy) to achieve this...Tedd

Thanks again Tedd for the information. Hoping I can adapt SBC tool that is in my tool box. Didn't know about the counter clock wise direction.
