Power window switch

Hey Everyone! I have a 72 Cutlass Supreme Convertible 455.. Restoring this car and it’s in various states of repairs. The one thing that I can’t seem to get answer on is the main wire module? That plugs into the switch. I have a few broken/ short wires now in need of repair. The wires attach to a end that horseshoes inside this module. It looks like it will separate but also feels like it’s not supposed to. The only way to properly repair and be sure I have contact on all clips inside is to open. However if I screw this up it’s part of a whole harness and not sure what if that happens. Any of you good people had this or can advise me my options. Thanks Eric

The power window harness is separate from the main harness in the car. The connector is held to the switch by friction and comes off with gentle prying, working from side to side. The horseshoe terminals are available separately.

Power window switch

Hey Joe! Thanks for response. I have the switch separated from what I’m calling the module? The piece that several wires come in. It’s this piece where I have sone broken wires and these ends pulled out of . This module? Is what needs to come apart to place ends back in for connection. It’s what looks like it can separate but also looks like I may break pins holding together. The ends you show are not what’s inside. They look straight with a u shape to lock in. I’ll look to see if this harness within the door can separate with connector and replace. I’m new to car and this site, will try to add pictures later for better explanation. Great site for info and help.

The plastic part is the connector. That same vendor also sells the straight terminals.

You can also buy the complete connector with pigtails.

That’s the clip and the connector I’m referring to. Thanks so much. Do think I can separate the connector to replace clip or best to wire in new connector all tot?

The connector body snaps together. You can open it by gently prying.
