Power Tour to Homecoming

Power Tour 2019 ends in Norwalk on June 14. Homecoming is only 3 hrs away on Jun 15. Yes, I'm planning on doing both. Just signed up for Power Tour.

Now to get the 67 done...

That sounds like a good time, always wanted to do the power tour, maybe some year. Homecoming is an awesome event, it's somewhat local and try to make that every year. What are your plans for the '67?

Right now the front sheet metal is off. I've got a 455 built, broken in, and ready to bolt in. I've built the TH400 also. The car really needs paint. That's probably the minimum I need to get done. If I have time to swap the front discs, bucket seats, and rebuild the rear suspension, that would be gravy.

Make sure that damn thing can idle in the heat, Joe. The power tour instructions are written by blind monkeys on typewriters and involve lots of small town left turns that stack the traffic up for two miles.

I've found that with a stock HD radiator, mechanical clutch fan, and proper A/F ratio and vacuum advance, overheating is never a problem.

My coworker drove his 68 Mercury Cougar on PowerTour a few years ago. It would be fun to do someday.
