pinch weld molding 66 442 convert

Can anyone tell me how to install pinch weld moldings on a 66 442 convert?I have the molding and the clips, but I'm not sure how to install

Mine was held on by the built in tension in the molding and the pinch weld itself was covered in a Dum Dum type material. The dum dum was probably there to stop water. Can't comment on the clips as I never had any
