I have used the 2 unit and am very happy with it. I think the 3 is even better.

Yes, I have the Ignitor III and flamethrower coil and it has been working like a champ. No complaints so far.

The coil is significantly larger in diameter than the stock coil.

On my 70, I had to modify the repro bracket to make it fit.

Just an FYI.

I'm curious if the distributor rotation makes a differance, mine is CCW.
I just tried to load some pics and for some reason the file is corrupted.
I have some on my work computer I will load Monday.
Not a cheesehead I am a Vikes fan. Stillwater is very close. What kind of car do you have.
You can go to Car Craft sight and see some pics under readers rides.

The stock Delco coil is capable of producing far more voltage than your engine will ever use.

My mom and dad are from east of the boarder too . I as a kid loved the b&l liquor sign that has the Viking and packer players on it I thought is used to turn back in the old days ? I have a pontiac lemans and a 69 h/o . I have a cousin that is a cop for there too.

My Petronix III did not work on my '67 425. I don't know why yet. My mechanic (Dragster Dave Keller) used a Petronix II in his '73 AMC Gremiln (401 ci) and he was happy with it. He tried the Petronix III in my car & his and they both didn't work. We haven't figured out why yet. There is really not much to them. Maybe there was a bad batch from China? I don't know. I ordered a new one and we will try again soon.

I could try a Petronix II in my car but the Petroinix III has a rev limiter built in. The idea of a built in rev limiter is important to me.

I have had one of the original Pertronix ignitions in my boat for about 11-12 years. Works perfect with no problems.

Well I installed the Pertronix III in my 61 394 and it started right up and ran great. Very happy so far. I thought I would give an update.

Jay where did you get the power for the unit. You have to be careful not to use the factory resistor wire.

Hi Craig: I can't really tell you right now where we got the power for it but I can tell you we disconected a resistor.

Dude if they taxed you by the pound for chrome on the front end you would be in a heap of
trouble. That is very nice looking car. looks like the new ignition went fine for you too .
