Parts don't fit

FYI: In working on my 1967 Olds 442 I found that the new harmonic balancer available has the timing mark off by one inch. Also, motor mounts are not correct, you have to order them for a later year olds.

I don't know what motor mounts you got, but a 1967 442 with stock frame mounts uses Anchor P/N 2261 motor mounts. Nearly every motor mount catalog has errors in the Olds motor mount listings, even Fusick.

What balancer did you get? I put a Dayton brand on mine and I'm happy w it.
There is also a thread for parts that don't work right you could add yours to the list

Also, I went through about 5 different Transmission filters before I found one that would fit my turbo 400 (long skinny filter I think AC PF160)

All 1967 TH400s use that filter. If your pan has the "horseshoe" divot in it, it uses that filter.

Joe emailed me other day about my harmonic balancer: Although your balancer states its for 330, 350, 403, 400, 425,455 they fail to mention for the early 330, 400E and 425 they use a different pointer! I have the same issue on my 67 400E. I need a 68 up pointer...
