Parts Book Copies

I have a 66,67,68 models only parts book dated Feb 68 for the illustrations and March 68 for the parts #s.
Is there much interest in purchasing copies of it?

That seems like a great idea
For beginner folks that are not aware how useful a PN manual is...

It is VERY useful. I paid $100's for a paper copy a while back, and it seemed worth it.
Especially with the internet at your disposal. You can find the PN of the item you need- with practice- then search the web for it. Sometimes you find one for sale and the owner does not know what it is.

You can also work backwards, and look up your part and then see what OTHER cars also came with that part. Then find one from them. E.g. torque converter for '68 W30 was also used on almost all std issue TH350 cars.

Valuable knowledge.
I suppose you can find PN info thru wildaboutcars.com also, but sometimes leafing thru actual paper is faster.

I have always like paper over the internet. For me it's faster. I have sold copies of the PIM,s that I have but most people prefer internet so I stopped that. I would figure copies would be around $100.00 per copy. I'll have to have one made-up to see the exact price.

That's a very good price. The original parts books are much higher than that when and if you can find them. They are very good to find info from and they have helped me tremendously over the years.

Having a hard copy in the garage is very handy. I hope you remember that Paul.

There seems to be a lot of off-topic posts all over ClassicOldsmobile these days. Let's all grow up please. I've deleted the posts in this thread that don't pertain to the original topic. Frankly, having the option to select on-line or print versions of a document is a good thing to me, but I always prefer paper to electrons. Fortunately, I already have a paper copy of the parts manual dated early 1969, so I'm good.

Then why wasnt the post about going to another website to view online versions deleted? Has nothing to do with the original topic.

Because, as I mentioned above, having options is a good thing. People who want a paper copy don't care about the electronic option, and not everyone can afford a $100 paper version.

Pauls bottom line question,

Is there much interest in purchasing copies of it?

Kurts response, having nothing to do with Pauls question.

We have a few Olds Parts Catalogs online at Wild About Cars and have quite a few more that we will be adding.

This site sucks. Your moderating sucks. Im out. See ya.

I still hold to my original comment He does not need to be pimping his web page on my thread. Curt needed to start his own thread or sat back and let this ride along unimpeded.
Common courtesy it's not that hard of a concept.
