Our road trip has started

Friday Night my 10 year old son and I headed out for an adventure. We left our home in Green Bay WI on the way to Washington DC. The Olds is running great and getting 15 mpg. The AC system was down due to a crack in one of the aluminum lines. My friend Pete and everyones friend JB Weld got it up and running. The test will be today in OH and WV with higher humidity in the forecast.

As always the horn honks and thumbs up we get from other motorists keep us motivated.

Todays activity is to see the National Air Force museum and about 5-6 hours of driving.

Will keep you posted
Kevin and Andrew

That is great that you are able to do that. It is something you and your son will always remember. Enjoy yourselves and be safe.

WAY cool! Take lots of pictures and enjoy the top-down experience.
Certainly it is not near as hot there as here...

In Beckley West Virginia and 830 miles from home. The Air Force Museum in Dayton is a must do if you ever get in the area. SR71 Stealth fighter and a capsule that went to the moon. Wether has cooperated will minor rain this morning but followed up by over 100 miles of top down driving. got off the main road and hit county 62 to Charleston WV. We made 16.6 mpg today with top up and no AC. Andrew is loving the road. I hope I will ever top this fathers day.
