Ospho Rust Treatment

Has anyone used this stuff? How hard is it to use and will paint stick to it?
I have heard that you spray or brush it on and wipe it off. I have read you just put it on and let it dry.

Good stuff. It's a primer etch phosphoric acid. You can use it as a dip or wipe on, wipe off. It's highly caustic though, it burns. I use it after bead blasting with a spray bottle, and then I wash it off with water and dry with a cloth immediately to prevent flash rusting. If you do a wipe on wipe off use rubber gloves.I use to use Ospho, but this stuff is cheaper and comes in a gallon jug.
Available at Lowe's or The Home Depot.

I bought a old rusty parts vista which I took apart. All I wanted to do was try to stop the rust which had already started so I put some Oshpo in a sprayer and sprayed it on the parts before I stored them. I hope it works.... We'll see.
