Is this original?

Hi all, I’m In the process of changing points on my 1968 Delmont (B07 - L32 455) and noticed this zip tie holding condenser and ground wire. I’ve never seen this before and was wondering if by any chance this is original, The car has 67,000 miles and I would normally presume the points have been changed but I am finding so much of this car is still original as it had 6 original style AC plugs (4 equal size green rings), original hoses, belts, brake pads, shoes, shocks etc. Since this car is kind of rare, I’m really just trying to preserve history. Anyone remember seeing this before?
Thanks! Dave

No, it is not. Consider that the condenser is changed with the points, so that tie wrap would need to be cut to do that. More likely that's a half-fast "fix" to avoid the splice in that lead wire grounding out where it passes through the distributor body. There's supposed to be a factory grommet there.

The negative coil wire is routed wrong, it should not pass between the points and the distributor shaft.

Thank you Joe and Eric! I suspected that the points and condenser had been replaced and I will correct everything. I have new original delco points and condenser as well as an NOS lead wire so I should be able to get it right. As a side note, it has the original style cap and original Q2-68 plug wires…hard to believe so much survived. Since it was parked in the 1990s after the original owner passed away not much was done to it in the past 30 or so years. Thanks again, Dave

Did zip ties even exist in 1968?

The cap/rotor may be serviceable, but I would not use the spark plug wires.

Yep I’ll change them with the reproduction wires. Actually the car runs great, but they are as stiff as board… I mis-spoke this car is Q1-68… my LS has Q2 wires.

That points cam is in dire need of a clean-up and lube. Your new points won't last 100 miles with that nasty cam. That cam actually looks pitted.
The centrifugal weight mechanism looks dry as well.
Could be time to refresh that 55-year-old component.
