I ordered some parts last Wednesday which were supposed to ship the same or following day. Email this morning says otherwise

Your order is in the queue, and we anticipate your order will ship on 4/29/2020. We apologize for the delay, as due to covid-19 precautions within our fulfillment center, like most companies we are running at reduced capacity. We want to make your experience with us a positive one, so are offering you the choice to keep your order in the queue or cancel it.

Just a FYI in case someone is wanting or expecting parts quickly.

I ordered stuff from Summit at weekend, everything on stock. Expected time of arrival- Middle of may to end of may, with heavy warnings about shipping delays etc. Usually comes in a week when in stock.

Probably depends on where you are and which warehouse it’s coming from. My order from Summit last week arrived in three days.

Everything being shipped is delayed, even mail has slowed down due to sorting slowdowns and some areas only delivering 3 days a week.

I don't know, I have ordered from legendary interiors, inline tube, fusick, and the parts place. The longest was legendary at 10 days and fusick was quickest at 4 days, and that's through customs to Toronto area.
I think that may just be a disclaimer in the chance it is delayed.

I have ordered several parts from OPGI over the years. Their shipping is all over the place. I've had some items arrive 3-4 days after the order. Some have taken a little over a week, and a few took several weeks. With those the problem was entirely on OPGI's end. They have a bad habit of not informing you if the part that you ordered online is back ordered and no longer in stock.

I have found that the best way to get your part soonest from OPGI is to not order online, but call them and actually speak to a human being. Every time that I have done that, I've received the part within a few days. Even they will recommend that you do it this way.

Like the last and current order I call to verify the parts are indeed in stock and ready to ship then I order online.
These parts were in stock and ready to ship. I just think there should be some sort of communication when adding items to your cart or during checkout that it will be delayed a couple weeks. I probably would have ordered elsewhere if I’d known.

I've been waiting for front seat covers from Distinctive, they were suppose to ship in March but now it will be May. They say the government has stopped them from shipping due to Corona virus. They have a whole container for OPGI just sitting. Pretty frustrating. What i hve experienced with them is they shipped free and gave me 10% off. I'm not in a huge hurry so that helped.

This is why they don't inform you, don't want to lose the sale. They're no worried about your timetable, just your cash.

OPGI dirtbags have a long and sad history of horrible customer service/order fulfillment.

It's just how they are. Nothing "we" can do about it; especially now that they can blame the Virus Originating in the Wuhan Lab, and released into the world in 2019 (VOWL-19). They've got a long list of excuses for how it's never their fault--and they're not afraid to use 'em.

I received an order from Summit last week and it was here overnight, shipped fedex, standard shipping charges. That is the quickest of anything I have ever purchased from anyone. Granted they are only one state away but that is really fast. On the other hand, stuff I bought on ebay, being shipped through the post office are all late by a week or more.

I ordered from Amazon Prime on Monday (usually a two day shipping date) and they said expected delivery was 4-29. I also was not in a hurry so not a issue for me..... Tedd

I Have ordered parts for my car and my pickup thru amazon and ebay, ebay shipping may happen the next day in some cases and not show up for over 1 1/2wks, tracking shows item on USPS truck for up to 3 days and the same can be said for fedex, slow delivery. just writing it off to the shutdown. thank god I am not in a rush to get something finished before car show season starts.
