Oldsmobile vs Chevy vs Buick

I have a 56 Olds 88 Holiday 4dr hardtop and want to know if there is a difference in the seats between 56 Olds, Chevy and Buick? I know the designs are different, but what about the padding and cuts in the foam? I find it hard to believe that the Olds is much different than the others.

I agree with Gerald- why?

You'll find that there are very few parts that interchange across GM rival divisions in that era.

There are lots of manuals on ebay, and I have a couple of them and on a quick glance, can't find any reference to seats.

Some of the Buicks of this era had under seat heaters, so I assume the seat would have to be made different to accommodate them. I think the Chevy seats were not as wide as Oldsmobile.

If those are pics of the seats in your Olds then all you need to do is recover them. IF you want OE seat covers you can order material from SMS and have an upholsterer manufacture new covers for you:

https://smsautofabrics.com/

If you don't care about originality then order a set of aftermarket seat covers and install them yourself:

Buick might be the same but I doubt Chevy is.

X2 on the Buick. Quite a few body parts will swap from Buick and Oldsmobile in the 54- 56 cars like doors and windshields side glass and such.

Are you having problems finding Oldsmobile parts or materials? There should be some around or a upholstery shop will make something up for you.... Tedd

Thanks for the input. I just happened to come across a set of black and white OEM '56 Chevy front and rear seat covers and was hoping I could use them instead of buying new or having them made for me. $200 vs $700 - $1000 makes me ask and go the cheaper route. It's just for a fun driver, not a show car.
