Oldsmobile needs help pls read
I have a 87 olds all Original 42 k 7a heads. Took it on interstate and over heated. Now it leaks coolant out the exhaust and looses compression after heated up. No water in oil. I'm looking to buy a rebuilt 350 and use my old parts to finish the build. Would this work and if so any suggestions? Please help

If it's currently an Olds 307, an Oldsmobile 350 (or 330 or 403) engine it will be a drop-in as the 307 and 350 blocks are externally identical. All the accessories will bolt on too.
Just make sure your transmission can handle the extra engine. A later 200-4R should be OK if you're not romping on it all the time but it will be the weak link in transplanting a larger engine.
Now, if you're thinking Chevrolet 350, that opens a whole new can of worms. It will work, but not as simple or easy as an Olds engine.
