Re: H R M description of Doug Coelings paired W-30 & W-31

From HRM: Doug Coeling showed a pair of seemingly matching Agean Aqua cars. One was a 4-4-2, while the other was a Cutlass coupe. Both were powered by the W-31 high-performance 350 engine. Each also wore the W-35 rear spoiler and chrome Super Stock wheels. The Cutlass (foreground) was also originally ordered with the W-27 axle.

"Both were powered by the W-31 high-performance 350 engine ?" If that were the case, there wouldn't have been a faster car over the other.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you. Of course there was also this one:

"... For the record, 906 1969 H/Os were built, all white with Firefrost Gold accents, "mailbox" hoodscoops, and a unique rear spoiler."

Yeah, except for those extra six that bring the number to 912. Oh, and the convertibles.

I thought it was a pleasant article. Its not everyday when Hot Rod goes out of their way to cover orphan car events.

It wasn't Hot Rod and no one went out of his way. Feature is from Muscle Car Review. :twocents:

this 1965 4-4-2, which looks like the rarer F-85-based model (1,087 built) rather than the Cutlass. All 4-4-2 models that year were built with the stronger, stiffer boxed frame used with convertible and police car models.

No its not and no they weren't.
