Getting rid of one is not cheap. Usually the car goes away at the same time, along with the house. bank account etc.

I got, when it arrives, Cliff Ruggles Q-jet book. We are still waiting for Amazon to ship it.

It was a choice between parts for my car (seat coverings and door weatherstripping) or music gear. I ended up getting a new electric guitar and a new Eleven Rack for guitar effects.

Maybe the car parts will arrive this spring when my income tax return comes in?

LOL, never! She & my two kids are the loves of my life. She just needs a little management when it comes to the car.

Hmmm, when I told my wife what I wanted for Christmas so I could finish working on my 72, she said "Buy whatever you need to get it done". That leaves the field pretty much open. I did go out and buy an OBD II Scan Tool so I could work on her car though.

I always tell my wife that whatever she gets me I have to pay for anyway so just let me get what I like and cut out the middle man.

Arodenhiser, You'll like the Cliff Ruggles book. I got it last year and studied it thru.I was going to rebuild a correct # carb for my 71 Cutlass. I have a correct # core and feel pretty confident I could do it but then one came up all restored on ebay I got for $257.50. I figured I would have at least $100. in parts for the rebuild. So got carb and it looks and works great... Some times you can get a deal on ebay. I guess I bought my own Christmas gift for my Olds...
