Oldsmobile 455 hemi

Does anyone know if Olds ever produced an actualy demo version of the hemi. If so, is it in private hands or at a museum. Any help would be great as I have wondered this for many years. God if that motor was only put into production.

I presume you're talking about about W-43. It is not a hemi.

Here is more info on it from Wild About Cars:

OK, Kurt, technically you are correct, but to most folks, any engine that doesn't use a wedge-style combustion chamber is considered a "hemi". Yeah, that's probably more "truth decay"...

I saw it at the Ransom E Olds museum in Lansing Michigan about 10 years ago.

Very nice looking motor! Obviously not a driver because it's way too clean . OOPS, I mis-spoke, there's grease or something on your cooling fan motors....

The car has 30k miles and has seen both rain and snow. Just never salt! I take it to work a couple times a month. I enjoy driving it, but mostly, I am saving it for my kids.
