Olds parts are expensive...

Oh, wait, NO THEY ARE NOT

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-1967-19...309ff4&vxp=mtr

$1800 for a starter for your '68 Charger.

Well, *the* starter, and it IS NOS after all....

Just sayin'...

I've been told on good authority that anything remotely related to HEMI requires your first born and a very big bank account for purchasing .!

If that's a new part, I'd hate to see what an old rusty one looks like.

Thats for sure Eric ,the ad does say 'NEW in The BOX' ,so maybe thats how it's supposed to look from the factory.

Well, the Japanese cars from that time definitely came pre-equipped with rust, so I guess it's possible Mopars did too...

LOL - great way to suggest our parts are cheaper. Now - go find an NOS 1970 W27 axle and see how much it would go for....

IS it any worse than a 69 H/O intake? Or an NOS W-30 INTAKE? OR A complete W-27 rear...its all in context...hemi stuff is rare...rare desirable cars demand high prices..its all about the numbers...

A friend of mine bought a used power steering hose for his 71 Hemi Charger. A mear $800! Not quite the same as a W-30 power steering hose price.
Frank is probably Frank Battleson, he's one of the leading Hemi authenticators in the country.

Any chance the "new" starter was installed, years ago, and the old one was put in the box to be returned for the core refund? And now, this guy thinks it is NOS, just because it is in a (open) box?

Because then they would have to things like make a 403 block with webbed mains that everyone seems to need or claim to have....
