Olds manual transmission I’d

Can you tell if a Oldsmobile was a factory manual transmission from the vin #
im sure my 1979 was but how do I know if it came from the factory with a manual transmission

If it was made in Canada you can send the vin to heritage services and that will tell you for sure

mine was built in flint Michigan I believe

You can do this for any 1977 or later Oldsmobile by contacting the GM Heritage Center. I obtained factory invoices from them for both my 1977 and 1978 Toronados.

This is from the page above. Email them (or call them---I did it by email) telling them the VIN of the car you want an invoice for, and they should respond with a price assuming the invoice is available. They should tell you either way. I paid $50 each for the two of mine.





As an example, here's what they sent me for my '78 Toronado.
