Olds Homecoming

What a GREAT show. It`s been several years since I`ve been and am very impressed with how much its grown. Saw LOTS of beautiful cars that covered the entire spectrum of Oldsmobiles,From a 1905 giving people rides around the show up to modern Auroras. Met some old friends and made some new ones. Had a blast.

X2!

It took me over three hours just to get through the swap meet.

It took another three to attempt to appreciate the (I heard) more than 600 cars.

The Homecoming is better than at least half of the national meets I've been to and the swap meet is better than any national meet I've been to --except for the national meets in Lansing

It was an awesome show! 6 hours was barely enough time - unfortunately I wasn’t able to bring my ride - brake failure Thursday night and didn’t have time to get it done - next year for sure!... My son got to ride the 1905 as well as I - loved it! - it really hit home for me how much i wish they didn’t kill the Olds brand (understatement) - so many cool rides soooo many cool people! I’ll throw a couple pics up if its not cool to post other people’s rides please remove

Sure wish I was there. Would be much better than Myrtle Beach.

This '66 limousine was outstanding. This car's owner (I believe his name was Chris) paid a lot to have the exterior restored. It is the first of 11 built that year by Cotner-Bevington. He said Lenno owns one as well. He said his father bought the car new for transporting clients. What a great piece of Oldsmobile history. The interior was original. The coachwork was incredible on this car:

It was Hurst Olds as far as the lens could see:

This 442 was just mind blowing! I hope he won an award:

I wondered if he pulled a fast one with the state and got that custom made plate registered to the car under the YOM law:

Yes it was air conditioned; yes that is a six speed:

I wonder what it's like to ride/drive a car like this:

I stopped and talked for a while with the gent that owned the burgundy 65. What a project. Vette engine, Camaro 6spd, detroit speed suspension. The dash he custom fabricated to fit the original Vette pod. He retained the A/C, hid the lines in the fender and did some custom fabrication in the engine compartment. Five years to build, just recently got it on the road. Really amazing what talent some people have.

Nice pics. I was there all day and am sure I didn't see it all. Couldn't hang out by the car because there was to much to go look at!
The old 394 got a little warm on the drive home but we made it. Going to have to look into the cooling system a bit.

My first time at homecoming. Very impressive. A red 58 super 88 was my family's favorite. We got a little wet but still had a great time. Maybe next year we'll drag the 67 there.

Olds Homecoming 2018

I was there with my wife. This was our 8th year at the show in Lansing. We had a great time as always. This first pic is of a 1958 Olds 88 from the motel we were staying at. A coupe more pictures of the show to follow.
