1970 CS - I ordered a new Oil Sender Switch from RockAuto, but it seems I don't have a socket that will fit. Can anyone advise what size socket/wrench is needed? Thanks in advance -

 

Your local automotive parts supply store should have this socket in stock.

Some have used vice grips but they do sell the specialty socket for this purpose (which is what I use). Soak the sender unit real well w/ PB Blaster or your preferred solvent.

The socket Norm linked is the way to go. Regular sockets, channel locks etc. tend to damage the new sender. Don't overtighen the new sender it will damage the seal and leak. Be aware of the electrical connection/tab when using the socket.
