NTOC Zone Show Pics
Here are a few pics from our show this past weekend, I think 51 cars from '29 to the late '80's were 'showin their stuff'. Too bad we had badly needed rain on Sat. afternoon, which cancelled our race at Northstar Dragway, this is the 2nd rainout...I hope Rund (Joe) won't hold it against us..

Nice looking cars - too bad on the rainout. I watched it all day on the radar and knew the drags would be cancelled. Oh, well. At least next year HAS to be nice and Lady will be "done" by then, even good enough for judging (I think).

The show was great, very nice cars and friendly people. I didn't break anything at the race, lol. I told Aron to check his book again, I think he was dancing while reading the "rain" page instead of the "no rain" page He can't wait for 2012 as he has too many broken cars from 2011. . . at least the rain held off for the show, and the temperatures were nice.

Here's a few more from the Zone Show this past weekend. Two years in a row it has rained, )&%$$%)_) it!! No racing, but the racers were there, and prepared! Great weekend! More pics:

A few more. Really was a fun weekend. I know I have a picture of Run To Rund (Joe Donnley's racer) but can't find it right now. Also one of a '67 Cutlass H/T that is in progress (racer type, also). I didn't take enough individual shots, my mistake.

Great pics...
There were quite a few different cars out there compared with 2009.
Looks like we have a "find the Olds in this photo" game going on...
I think it is just beyond those trees in the background...

Yo, How much for the Post roller race car?. Any info, email, tel # etc. Do you know anything about what the car has as far as equipment, IE type of cage (4/6/8 etc. point and material used), rear end type (and gear ratio), any info would be appericated.
Thanks,
dave b.

My family and I came down from OKC to check the show out. Next year we will need to get there earlier. How was the turnout compared to other years? It was a bummer that the race was rained out. We followed Rick and his 69 W30 back to the city dodging rain drops.

Dave,
You will meet the builder and owner's father at the cookout when you get here. If you wanna talk to him before then call Rick or me and I'll give you his number. His name is Bob and is a super nice guy. He may be able to bring it up if you wanna take a look at it. He lives about 1.5 hrs south of us.

Aron, it's really easy to delete a mistake in your own thread. See at the bottom of the permalink on your thread there's an 'edit' feature? Clik that and it will take you back into the thread. You can make changes such as fix a typing error or delete a photo. The thread tool will give you a dialogue box where you can explain your 'reason for editing'. Deleted wierd pic. When you're finished clik 'save'. There will be a small addition under the post saying "Last edited by Aron Nance;" Stardate 4233.9
Does that help?

I don't think its for sale but if you want to contact him anyway I can get you the info.

Yes, the red '70 post was definitely for sale. They have another that they are working on. Though the owner looked shockingly feminine to be called "he",if you have good contact info then I'd say send it along. Thanks to all of the picture posts from this show. We have always had a great time at this event. Already looking forward to next year!!!

rktolds: yes, just need some pics and info. If he is going to be at the "BIG GO" at Rick's place I can talk to him there. No need to bring the car. Just need some info on equipment and what it comes with and "rock bottom price"! Your testimony on his being a "good guy" is enough for me.
Really look forward to "hanging out without ya'all" , some good Olds conversation, and especially some good bar-b-que on Sat!
BTW: Rick has been nice enough to offer for me to stay at his place, to park my 63' motorhome and trailer rig. Trying to get there on Thur. in the afternoon, so you, Rick, and I can go to the Cattlemens Steak House for some go OKC beef, Friday night, if that is OK with you. Looking forward to that for sure!

gearheads78 and Funkwagon455: Thanks, but see previous post from rktolds and me, as I am swinging by OKC on my way south back to Fla. and the builder of the F-85 post roller is going to be in OKC for an "Olds people get togehter and bar-b-que."

Dave,
I have a few pics and info from when I was down there. I'll look on v8buick.com and see if you sent me your email.
The best info I can remember is it's an F85 with a cage (not sure of level of certification), had a nasty 403 that put her in the 11's but that is in another car now. Im not positive on the trans but the rear is a chevy 12 bolt with 4.56's. I'll pm you his ph number. He's a good ole boy who worked for Olds from '64-'92 or so.
Can't wait to see ya. I won't be able to go to Cattlemen's. I will be working my last football game of the season at my high school. I'm the Athletic Trainer there so game nights are my busy time.
