Notching the center divider on a 7111 intake

Is this really worthwhile? Some other brands have it stock. Seen some positive dyno results for other brands. Done it before, who knows if it did anything. Pretty mild, 400ish HP with new Edelbrock heads, if they release them, 9.3 to 1 and a 218/218 hydraulic roller cam. Using my custom 850 cfm Qjet, I built by me.

Here to learn this too. Does carb vs. TBI make a difference in notching needs? How big should the notch be?

I am running a 1/4" thick open gasket with the plastic washers. I may just run it, as is.
