What intake

Going to up the compression on my 67 E block 400 motor to 11.5 it's currently 9.8. Could anyone recommend what intake to go with. Current setup is a .60 over 400E motor. Cam is a howards flat tappet 235-245 @050 duration with .520 .542 lift on a 110 lobe separation. Speedmaster heads cnc ported by knowltons. Regular performer intake with an 800 cfm carb. Didn't know if I should stick with the performer intake or not. Any recommendations welcome.

Port-O-Sonic, or an RPM Air Gap

I'm running 10.5 compression in my 461 ci BBO with Edlebrock heads (worked by VortecPro Engines) and regular Edelbrock Performer intake cut down for hood clearance. My engine dyno'd at 560 with the stock W-30 intake.....before I switched to the Edelbrock and Holley Sniper EFI. Runs awesome. I have the Air Gap on my 600+ HP Chevelle and love the performance too. Both are great choices.

What did it make after the intake swap?

I never re dyno'd the engine since it was in the car when I made the intake swap. I ran that W-30 intake with the Qjet Sniper for awhile and hated everything about how it ran and the performance. Swapped the intake and entire fuel system to the 4150 style Sniper with fuel return line. Huge difference. I would say the intake had to be worth at least 15+ HP but I don't have true dyno specs to prove it. My engine builder wanted me to switch out of the OEM intake during the build but I was initially against it. Later, I changed my mind and don't regret it for a min.
