... And carry the old points and condenser (or the old distributor, if you replaced the whole thing) in the trunk, just in case.
When points go, you can usually futz around a bit and get home.
When electronic ignition goes, you're usually parked until you get help.

Flawless! However, my near term plan is to ditch the stock vacuum advance distributor and replace it with a locked out msd pro billet and let my EFI control the timing. I already have everything I need, just need to dive in.
