Here is my 77, with the 350. just found this forum, excited to explore it. My AC has a vacuum issue I have no air to the dash vents only the floor, I’m hoping to find the fix here. Check her out just put these wheels on last fall

Red rover, welcome to the site. Definitely a cool car!

I'm going to move your post to a new thread instead of resurrecting a thread that's over 10 years old.

I had the same problem with my '78 Toronado, and, you're right, the problem is vacuum-related. Check the lines under the hood. There should be line from the engine manifold to the vacuum reservoir ball and from there to the dash where it goes to the controller. Make sure those lines are present, intact, and hooked up. Make sure the vacuum reservoir ball isn't leaking (new ones are cheap). In my case, a prior owner tried to make a vacuum line T-fitting with plumber's putty. Yikes. I put a proper T-fitting in, an all-of-one-minute job, and the problem was fixed. Hopefully yours will be as simple.
