New '65 442...What a weekend
I had EVERY intent on just working on my '70 this weekend...
Then saw an ad on FB marketplace, got a quick reply from the fella, loaded up my trailer and left at 6pm Friday night for Manchester, TN from Jacksonville Florida.
Called my buddy to tell him the news and he who reminded me that he was at the Olds Nationals. I said, "OK...where's that happening?"
He said Murfreesboro...but I rented a cabin in....(drum roll please....) Manchester, TN!
So I drove up, slept on his cabin's futon. In the morning I had 5 miles to drive to find this car I took home.
Once loaded up I drove to the Nationals...it was already winding down by Saturday at 2...kinda disappointing.
But I did get to meet Jasen and see his killer 442 Club Coupe. Took loads of pics.
It truly is one of THE nicest cars I have EVER seen. And he's a super cool guy to boot.
1165 miles round trip. Totally worth it!

What I know so far...
-H trim
-deluxe retractible belts
-Emergency brake light
-3.23 Anti spin diff
Can anybody spot anything else???
This is my 3rd '65 and FIRST 442!
Fill me in on convertibles! Never had one of them either!
Despite having no engine or trans, the car is VERY original and the body is in great shape. No visible rust anywhere on the body and all the lower seems look amazing.
Even the battery tray and inner fenders are mint.
It will need a front floor section...about 8-9 quarter size holes...but for a convertible...it's not bad at all.
Will also need new trunk pan...but the drop offs are excellent.

Thanks TJ!
The cool part is that the white cutlass was ALSO from the Rustin dealership!
It will be a nice addition to the clan...
Red Convertible
White Hardtop
Blue Post coupe
What the hell color should my not-found-as-of-yet Vista be?

Post coupe, Holliday, club and a 64 vert. Maybe I will try and line them up this weekend and get a family picture.
but I want a flat top wagon instead of a vista.
