Need mounts for Olds engine into 73-87 GM truck.
Does anyone have mounts/etc. to put an olds 350 into a 1973-87 Chevy truck (diesel mounts)?
I have a 81 chevy pickup with a tired 305 SBC and SM465 manual that could use an olds 350/TH350 I have laying around.

I just welded the regular frame mounts to the frame on my 78😀. I used the Trans Am 403 mounts on my 94, they are still available new and should work with the sbc frame mounts. Get a bell housing and rock that manual trans with the Olds 350. I loved the Olds 307 and 350 as truck motors, so much better than a sbc 350 with 2.76 gears.
I took a look at the trans am mounts on rock auto. They look very similar to SBC clamshell mounts. So, I'm Guessing what I really need are the engine side brackets. Are these available from inline tube or a TA or Squarebody supplier?
Turned out the diesel engine that he swapped was a later 6.2 L which uses the Chev rear face bellhousing pattern and Chev block to frame pad mounts. Sorry could not be more of help. Dave S dona Ana NM 88032
Both pieces of the 403 mounts are available from Firebird Central and Year One. I bought mine used, they come up from time to time.
