Question Need advice for head price...

I have a friend looking into Olds BB's for his car. What is a fair price on a pair of rebuildable C heads? He asked me, but I had no idea. I had to come to the experts....

Measure the valves. They are not super accurate but for rough measurements a set of Harbor Freight calipers are a must for any car guy.

That has been added to my list of things to buy this weekend. He may not need to check the heads after all. Looks like he's found an early model Toro motor he's interested in. From what I understand, if these are th correct head he should have the big valves?

Last year for C heads is '69. '70 heads would be E on a Toronado.

There's some photos on this thread showing the different sized valves.
