Muscle Car Museum - Punta Gorda Florida
Olds Club of Florida will be having a meeting / trip / show this Saturday, details below
The OCF will be meeting at Rick Treworgy’s Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda Saturday August 21. There is a car show from 9am til 1pm then we’ll tour the museum around 1:30. There is a restaurant at the museum where we can have lunch and a short meeting. It is a 90 minute (90 miles or so) from the Skyway Bridge south on I-75. For those who would like to gather and drive down together we will be meeting at the Blackthorn Rest Area on the north end of the Skyway Bridge @ 8am. I have a few other buddies who may be joining our group (the more the merrier) so we may have a mustang and a couple of GTOs in the mix. You may want to check your windshield wipers, since we’ll probably be driving north in the late afternoon and we all know what that means.
Entrance into the museum will be on your own dime – either $12.50 or $11.00 per person depending on the size of our group. The car show is free to enter and there are some awards, but I don’t know much about this. I haven’t been to this museum so it will all be new to me, but the website advertises nearly 200 GM muscle cars!
