Motor break in/ leaking heater

Hooking up and filling my cooling system I noticed a leak inside the firewall, any problem with bypassing it for now, hooking the water pump directly to the return in the rear of the block? Don't really need heat right now haha... And hopefully I can take care of it after the motor is run in

1968 Delta 455 no a/c btw

Just connect the 2 hoses together and press on.

Yes, you can just shunt the hoses around it, or block both of the hose nipples.

I know it's too late now but prior to filling up after my rebuild we did a vaccum test on the system. Hellav idea-I didn't know about it.

That's because you have good people working on your car. Besides, even if it did leak you don't have an interior in your car yet so it wouldn't do any damage.

That is a sweet running engine you have there Al. Really enjoyed that video you sent me. Smooooth and healthy sounding.
