Brown car, brown suit - so 70’s. Don’t know why but I think it looks like a kid Wojo from Barney Miller.
some people will put an LS in anything. They could’ve at least painted it gold to maintain the color palette

73 Cutlass for 80 grand??? Crack is real.

80K is nuts, but it is not a cheap 4.8 or 5.3 truck engine swap. If you can find an LS3/ 6 speed auto for $2K buy as many as you can. More like 8K - 10K for a reasonable mileage dropout. Closer to 20K for a GM crate set-up. Obviously, this would not include install, modifications, or the myriad of other parts required to make the swap.

Honestly that is one of the nicest 73's that I have seen. Even wears the colors well. 73 is definitely not one the money years for an Oldsmobile. Nice car for sure.
Go grab a wrecked truck whatever at the local auction and toss it in. Zero mention of any other upgrade etc. No way that car sees anywhere near that kind of money. Ever. Give me a break. You can find how many LS cars out there for half that and a more desirable car? Vegas Baby.

The price on that car is absolutely laughable. Go look at that blue 70 442 that is in the for sale section right now. Asking 53k. Still there. Look at fred442's Hurst Olds. You still come home with stacks of cash.

See for me soon as I saw 80 grand and Las Vegas I knew it was special. First time ever in the history of the world you read an ad for a 73 Cutlass for eighty grand. That's called spelling kids. It's a shame that a 73 that clean and that nice got it's roots ripped out like nothing. Didn't do anything at all to it other than that. LS swaps require more than just dropping it in. To get it done right takes knowledge.

Wow brings back some memories. My Dad sold cars at Story Olds in 72-73. He ordered a brand new body style Cutlass S like that one only in Cranberry Red/ white vinyl top, swivel buckets, white interior. I got to drive it (16 yrs old) when it was so new no one knew what it was! How cool!! Funny you mention the whitewalls are ugly, Glenn. To me it looks very cool and striking. I guess it all depends on what years you were in those impressionable "car years" But *80K? naah....

'Splain to me why an 18000 mile car needs a drivetrain transplant, other than some knuckleheads can't leave anything alone?
It's like that Chevy knucklehead here who bought a one owner 1970 S that was an OCA 1st winner in unrestored class and immediately yanked its 350 and stuck a 454 in it. He gave me plenty of room at cruise nights and was known to get in that car and leave if he saw me walking his direction.
Wonder when the Hurst/Hatch was installed, since that was a 1975 thing...
That kid picture has been making rounds. It was in this week's local shopper paper. Gotta say he's the youngest helmet head I've ever seen. And I LIVED thru the 70s!🤣🕺
IDK, some of the local Talibaptists still wear their hair like that!😏
