Getting this all of a sudden.

 

I'm no expert, but it seems that it would be wise to avoid "facebook.net..." addresses, as I believe facebook always goes to facebook.com..."

What is linking you to that?

I too came across that yesterday...I just can't remember where I was browsing.

 

Beware to where search sites take you. Lots of hoaky sites are out there, more and more are being developed, and one wrong click can get you infected. If something really odd pops up, force the browser closed with task manager.

 

I got that virus warning popup on every single thread I clicked on here. I viewed the page source on those pages and sure enough that code was there... and still is... <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script>

Seems fine now though... no virus popup err msgs that is.

 

Some websites can be hacked and malicious code inserted. Luckily this is sometimes found and the site is warned or blocked. Looks like you got your protections up to date!
I once had oldsgmail.com blocked for a few days after it was hacked and messed with. Once it was fixed, access was regained.
Too many bad stupid people out there just trying to cause trouble....

 

Always be sure to wear your antivirus condom when surfing the net.

 

Whenever I see that crap, I run a full scan on my anti-virus and malwere protection and nip it in the bud!!!
Free from Microsoft!!

 

I've found Malwarebytes for anti-malware and Avast for antivirus (both are freeware) to work for me. Just remember to update and run them routinely.

You can't be too careful.

 

Do you recognize the program that keeps giving you that warning? If not, and if it continues to give you warnings on websites you know are safe / interferes with other things you are doing, you are infected with rogue anti-malware.

That was my first thought looking at this thread.

In either case, get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, reboot you system, hit F8 as your computer is starting up, select "Safe Mode".

Then login and run a scan using Malwarebytes

If this does not solve your problem I can give you additional help and possibly offer remote assistance.
